Version 0.6 RC3 (Released on May 2009)

Thank you for taking the time to download LuxRender, the open-source rendering engine to create realistic and photographic-quality images. We recommend you take a look at some screenshots and the gallery to see the capabilities of LuxRender.

To get you started, you will need two things, the render engine itself (LuxRender) and an exporter to get your 3D models into LuxRender. On this page you can download them both. After you got LuxRender installed or extracted you need to download and place the exporter in your 3D Modelling program. We recommend you take the Blender Exporter (called LuxBlend). This exporter is always up-to-date and can be used with the free program Blender.

If you need help, you can try our wiki pages or our forums.
