0001238: Server node has lots of tmp files written to same directory

Description

Getting lots of errors trying to render with 1.0RC2 on Amazon EC2. Lot of experience with RC1, so I know this is not just me. The first one that I have been able to reproduce is that the directory of the server nodes get filled up with tmp files for the rendering file. I have been able to reproduce this with multiple scene files, as well as example scene files packaged with 0.8.

I have not been able to reproduce this rendering across two macs running OSX 10.6
