| Summary | 0001149: halt_spp and sppm | ||||||||
| Description | just pulled 0.9 dev build (linux) it looks like if I sent halt_spp to 5 and halt_time to 300 it stops after 5 passes with sppm renderer when I use the luxrender gui if I use luxconsole it stops rendering at 5 passes but doesn't exit, it just keeps looping until 300 seconds (5 minutes). actually it doesn't stop at halt_time either... | ||||||||

HaltSPP seems to be working properly with SPPM after a few more stats and film changes, any issues with it on your end? |

Halt SPP seems to be working much much better now! Only one very minor small issue - it always goes to haltspp+1 so if you set it to 4 for example, it will stop at 5 passes and 125% pass complete. This +1 isn't even an issue really - before it was NOT usable for animations - it would just run forever on one frame... now you can do animations with SPPM because haltSPP or halttime is WORKING... So yes summary is it's WORKING - I wouldn't even worry about the +1 thing... |

The +1 thing is pretty much unavoidable, because the integrator is signaled to stop at the next available opportunity after reaching haltspp, which for sppm is haltspp +1. |
