Rendering in Batch-Mode stops too early

Postby AdrianRenner » Fri Feb 03, 2012 11:37 am

Hello there,

I am trying to render an image in batch mode with the following resolution: 6666px x 4992px.

After something about 5hours (18.000seconds) the engine stops and says:
20.01.12 13:29:59[0x0-0x28e28e].org.blenderfoundation.blender[18447] Done.

...but I set up 99999999 seconds to render (with an periodic save interval of 240seconds) and a sample rate of 512ppx

The result is still very noisy and I need to render it far longer than only the valued 5hours. Is it possible to do that?...I mean - I don't understand why the system brakes up by itself and stops the rendering.

Yours sincerely
Adrian

By "sample rate of 512px" you don't mean haltspp do you? If you are trying to stop the render after a certain amount of time, you should leave haltspp at 0. On the other hand, if you have a specific quality in mind, you should use haltspp only and leave halttime at 0.

you are rendering at a very high resolution. You may consider the Hilbert Lowdiscrepancy sampler or make some small border renders to be merged later.
I suppose that you want the picture to be rendered for undefined time. Don't set 99999999 as halttime, but just 0. 0=infinite
