My first impression was that the car was modelled and the rest is a photo - is that correct?

Either way, it's a nice result :)

Needs to cook longer! ;) I agree with paco, I thought car was rendered into a photo :p

Both wrong, there are some minor yet obvious signs that it is all CGI when you see them. Starting with the Overburn error on the spring and arm of the lamp, next I noticed the chair on the fabric and the wood, followed by the screw on the chair, then there is the fireflies in the cassette, the paper is too perfect, the wall socket is too perfect and not scratched from use, and the brush from the tipex doesn't have any tipex left on it at all!

Nice job though, it took me longer than usual to start noticing things.

TODO:
Change from Mitchell Anti-aliasing filter to Gaussian (this will solve the overburn I mentioned).
Preferably add an alpha map the the paper (a cloud texture procedural will do), also consider increasing the thickness(if it has any) to about 2/10 more
Make sure the chair fabric is aligned perfectly, or add a seam to show where it is 2 pieces sewn together.
The chair legs need at least as much work on them as you've put into the table perhaps consider a slight post-pro blur around the chair fabric to give it that fuzz that tartan is known for.
Add a very-mild Gaussian Blur to the whole image.
And give it a little longer to render.

Then you will have me convinced too ;)
Good job so far though! I'm impressed!

Me too, i am impressed, it's hard to notice it's not real, the lightning is convincing.

However what is that tool near the window corner, isn't it a solder iron ? It looks a little big, and the wooden handle is not really appropriate, bur i may be be wrong.

That depends I have seen an Old Russian Auto-Mechanics both that big and with a wooden handle. So while I question why it isn't grease covered and on a toolbox in a garage, instead of on this desk I find it acceptable - though on reflection the wood material could do with some work.
