Elapsed Time oversight?

I don't know if this issue fits perfectly into this thread, but anyway...

The S/s-value on the right always jumps to, say, 50MS/s when resuming a .flm-file with many S/px.
While rendering, this value decreases slowly, but it never gets to the value of the kS/s-stat in the middle of the values.
What's this value supposed to be?

It's supposed to show the combined total sampling rate. It actually works with network rendering as long as you haven't resumed from a film. You can read this bug report and learn all about what's wrong with it: http://www.luxrender.net/mantis/view.php?id=956
