Trying out the various accelerators I get these results. Basically if I use an accelerator of any type I get a crash. No acceleration renders for hours.

Using bdancers interior scene with Final - low MLT/Path Tracing (RECOMMENDED) using luxconsole-gcc-i386 from v0.5 RC1 everything switched off that can be and just exporting untoned exr. All aceleration is with defaults.

unsafekdtree: Works for 3 mins then lux stops writing to the console and no more exr.

grid: Luxconsole crashes out after 3 mins with:

luxconsole-gcc-i386: /usr/include/boost/shared_ptr.hpp:315: T* boost::shared_ptr<T>::operator->() const [with T = lux::Shape]: Assertion `px != 0' failed.

tabreckdtree: Renders for 20mins before lux stops writing to the console and no more exr.

So for me only no acceleration otherwise a crash in wxluxgui, luxrender or luxconsole sooner or later (max render time possible so far 20mins) :cry:

Hi diffid,

can you try this:

open a console window and:

Code: Select all
$ strace ./luxconsole >~/luxconsole.out 2>&1

this will start luxconsole and all output and system call traces will be logged to the file luxconsole.out in your home directory.
please zip up this file and post it here so we can analyse the problem.

greetz,

It should be fixed now, check http://www.luxrender.net/mantis/view.php?id=266 for details.
