It's, um, 70cm high :D I was afraid it was even more, actually! Ok, thanks B.Y.O.B., note taken. I'm looking forward to starting another project, so for this one I'll just take the opportunity to learn some Gimp instead of re-rendering another 50 hours or so :) But next time I'll definitely pay more attention to scale.

Done! Updated the link in the OP to the final version, with DoF and minor post-processing in Gimp. Here too for your convenience.

Very nice... but the eye that's used to it sees that the tiles that are seen through the bootle aren't blurred... ;) ;)
If you resize the scene and change the resolution to 1000x600, you can partizipate in the currently running Splash Screen Contest here!
Just render it (until March 31. - it's thight, I know) and load it up in the competition gallery (on the left side, there's an "add items" button).

edit: ahh, I forgot the most important: you must fullfill all of these rules to partizipate:

Good catch on the seen-through tiles  ! Although... hmn, that's a nice optics question, I'm not sure - should they really be blurred? Those are as if projected on the bottle, which is in focus, so would they be affected by DoF in real life? Only one way to find out, must find a bottle! :)

As for the contest, unfortunately I don't meet any of the demands, maybe next time!

Just tested it, they are blurred.

Just add, say, a glossytranslucent-material to the cup that lays near the towel ;)
Or make the parfum out of a homogenous media (greenish, for example)... it's just a question of changing materials.

As said over at BA.org, the atmosphere of this artwork is warm and cozy, I love the colors :D
