May I ask is there a specific resolution minimum we must render to?

Damm right now I wish I was at school to use my schools Mac Lab over the weekend xD That would be 12 x Core i7's :(

I guess if there are no specific requirements on that part, you're free to render in any resolution you see more appropriate.

If I render at a high res, is it acceptable to submit a scaled down version (to reduce the noise), or would people prefer if I just render at a lower res?

That is absolutely fine. I don't care how you get there, just get there.

I wouldn't say there is a minimum, but you are going to want people to be able to see all that beautiful detail work you added, right? ;) Whatever size you are comfortable with. I personally am rendering to the size of my monitor 1680x1050, but that's just me.

Edit: However today is fine otherwise :?

I don't have any more time to render this, so here it goes. At 2.2 CU's it clearly needs more love... It seems I'm darned good at making hard materials

My thought was before 11:59PM (23:59) on the 20th. Now given that everyone is in different timezones around the world I would say midnight in your timezone, but since I am coordinating this competition, as long as it shows up before midnight in my time zone (GMT -7) or 1am for those of you on the west coast of the United States, then I'll allow it. I am not sure if Jeanphi setup the gallery to auto close or not however. If it does then I will just put a poll here and put links to the various renders.

@Jeanphi, can I have admin rights to the Competition portion of the gallery?

I think I've done this now... ^^ You don't have complete access but should have access to the relevant actions.

Here is mine, I will also post in the gallery...

I might let this one cook a bit more, there is still a lot of VPU, I think because the water/ice part is floating slightly.
