It just seemed so out-of-character for jensverwiebe to make a remark
that looks like a scoff. :|

Nah, sometimes one must scoff :)
If 3000 ppl use it flawless, the rest hasn´t read the instructions ;)

In the case of pixelznbits, it´s just in fact no info what goes wrong, so who should help then ?
Just as a guess, he misses the install of my bundled python3.1-framework

Ah, Jens!

For the first time in my life, I have a rendering challenge
(braided glass spire with shiny metal and glowing plasma inside),
so, yes, I greatly look forward to your next Lux0.8 Py3.1.2 package! :geek:

I hope i can do soon, Python 3.2 has a bug preventing 64bit-Blenderbuilds atm.( and is alpha ), Python OSX 3.1.2 has a bug in hashes.

On the other hand: to be honest, still luxblend0.7.1 and LuxRender 0.7.1 ( will be released on Sunday 03 okt )
would be the first choice for production ( safety )
--> Lux 0.8 is WIP, so is LB2.5, Blender 2.5.4 is beta-stage.........

Thanks for the heads-up!

There is still missing functionality, but I really prefer the Blender 2.5x GUI,
so every 2-3 days I'm trying out another build. :mrgreen:

And Lux 0.8 looks so full of promise. :ugeek:

Don´t overlook that you can use luxblend 2.5 as well with LuxRender/pylux 0.7 !!!!
+ the Lux 0.7.1 has backported : velvet-material, multibounce, transmission energyconserving, refined efficiacy-range too

Hi Jens

Just to let you know I'm getting the following error with this build when I try to export an OBJ:
"/Users/psullie/Desktop/Blender_svn_31880/blender2.5.4beta.app/Contents/MacOS/2.54/scripts/op/io_scene_obj/__init__.py", line 116, in execute
print(self.keys())
TypeError: bpy_struct.keys(): this type doesn't support IDProperties

Hi
Afaik this bug was solved in Blender a while ago, so with the next weeklie (monthly ;) ) i provide here, this will be gone.
In the meantime you could verify in a recent Blenderbuild from Graficall perhaps. This is not Lux related.

I guess i provide a new build when Lux 0.7.1 is released which is to come anytime soon now.

P:S: iám working on getting Python 3.1.2 as a framework now, which would too fix some issues in Blender, but had no succes yet.

Hi Jens

the latest build (32360) works fine, as did previous graphicall builds I've used. I must have missed the buggy one so hadn't come across this.
Although I usually had no problems getting Lux25 to work, I found you weeklies so much easier to use.

Looking forward to 0.7.1

big thanks
