Hi Jens,

Don't mean to be impatient, but are you going to do an OS X 64 bit build of the 06-09 weekly? I want to play with velvet. ;)

I would build it myself but I keep running into errors compiling.

Velvet is not finished fully.
I´d rather do a build with the new glossy/velvet when exporter is tweaked for that too.

Guess will be next weekend........

Thanks for quick response.

I don't care about exporter support myself, don't use Blender anyway, but I can understand you not wanting to keep redoing the same build again and again.

I need help figuring out where to put the LuxRender exporter script. I do not see a PythonScripts dir. If I go into my blender application contents, I have a python folder, and a scripts folder. Nothing happens when I place it in the root of the scripts folder, or when I place it into the scripts/modules folder. When I place the py file in the add-ons folder, or install it through the add-ons folder menue, my add-ons menu goes blank, and I can't select any add-ons.

Could someone tell me exactly what folder I need to put this python script in, and what needs to be done for blender to recognize it.

You are using wrong expoter, for Blender 2.5 beta!, use luxblend 2.5 beta !

I think I found the right exporter, but none of the menu items work, The wiki has no readme, and I couldn't find a readme in the installation package, Is there a readme of some sort anywhere? Are there any dependencies that I need. I had a fresh install of OSx 10.6.4, on an imac i7. There seem to be several different forums with conflicting information. Any advice that you can give is greatly appreciated.

I tried out a sample file on the LuxRender, and it looks amazing. Great work, I can't wait to try it out on my own work.

Although it does not belong here ;) i can tell you some notes:

For Blender 2.5 you need luxblend25(lb25) + exporterframwork(ef).
Install it best in an external created scriptsfolder/io to which you point in preferences of blender ( scriptspath )
make sure you have matched versions, cause Blender is undergoing api-changes every day atm.
New: you need LuxRender build from sept_09_2010 due some actual changes

Todays meal:

- lb25: http://src.luxrender.net/luxblend25/archive/tip.zip
-ef: http://github.com/doughammond/exporterf ... all/master
and a blender2.5 > revision 31838

Please report in this thread buildrelated stuff next time, your problems have nothing to do with this.
