Hey,

i made the luxblend exporter to make my demo renders, test the engine
and provide an example in the right direction for people to get started using/testing.

it's still VERY rough and not tuned at all (especially materials and UV mapping).

i was kinda hopeing we could get some people interested who would take over development
and make it useable ;-)

i'm flooded with this site and getting the RC2 ready, as are the other devs ;-)

Can someone help us ?
Maybe just by spreading the word and getting some python devs interested ?

I'll make a post later (after work) with some guidelines on the material system,
which will resolve a lot of questions here...

gotta go now ;-)

Did anyone manage to export glossy materials successfully ?
I guess the spec value controls the glossyness of materials (like spec=0 -> diffuse, and spec>0 -> phong/glossy). But any spec value gives me the same result : extremly reflective metal-like material. I mean even something like 0.0001
I had a look at the mat-xxx.lxs file, but I have no clue what to change.

specular is controled with just the colour (SPE slider colour)

EDIT:
glossyness is governed by the HARD slider! ;-)

in older indigo exporters it was the specular colour multiplied by the spec slider ;-)
might be good idea for the alpha8 release ;-)

i'll fix the rc2 tomorrow and probably do some more tunings to the exporter and make a alpha8 on sunday.

hopefully we'll find some python devs to take over next week...

This is good news!

I'd like to know how to set mesh emitter power greater that slider allows. But I can wait :)
