Toyota Dealership

Postby Radiance » Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:31 pm

Hey guys,

Here's a WIP (it's nearly finished) of my first real LuxRender project ;-)
It's a scene i had lying around which i'm completing in order to produce some example renders for our site/project launch.

The scene should be complete now, i'm still tuning the materials.

Attached pic rendered for 6 hours using path tracing and some exit portals.

I wanted to put a luxrender logo on the car but i'm still having issues exporting UV maps with the current exporter.

I've got some issues with the carglass, the refracted rays seem to get terminated by the RR too soon,
so it's quite noise inside the car. I'm experimenting with various parameters in integrators/path.cpp to
get it better...

Comments welcome ;-)

Greetz,
Radiance

Nice work Radiance,

Are you the same Radiance as the one on Indigo renderer forum ?
Lux looks like and interesting approach, I like the combination of unbiased and biased.
Will there be a max plugin ?

cheers

Hey,

yeah it's the same radiance. ;-)

Well, we've just started our project and are focusing on the engine, UI and initial blender exporter.
A 3DS max exporter is sure to come although we'll need some forum members who can develop one first.

Cool,
I'm sure some Max user will write some UI.
At the moment its a standalone app ? That can import models ?
Look forward to friday

Hey bullseye,

It's a standalone renderer, currently it's got it's own scene file format.
I'm adding an OBJ loader this weekend, but as of yet you can't really import
models into it.

You could import into blender and then use the blender exporter to generate
a scene file though.
