in 0.5 you had to enter the filename eg /home/me/files/luxrender
in 0.6 you need to remove the filename, and use only the path eg /home/me/files
it will automatically add luxrender and luxconsole and search for them in the path you gave.

I'm sorry, I've tried all the paths possible, but it's the same, it doesn't see the application. Strange is, it works well if I specify the path of the 0.5 version with this last exporter. Are there any people who tried on OS X who can tell me what their path is?

I've been trying to crash the renderer via the GUI and found a potentially support-post-generating bug.
If you stop the rendering and start either Gaussian Bloom or Noise Reduction (either type of NR) before the image is tonemapped the program will crash due to a segmentation fault.

The same goes if you stop the rendering while the GB or NR are calculated.

It doesn't seem to apply to vignetting or chromatic abberation but that may be due to their relatively quick calculation(?)

It might seem small but I think that anything that could make hours of rendering useless should be looked into. If nothing else, maybe simply preventing the user to stop the rendering while these things are calculated and vice versa. :)

Tried with a gcc build on Ubuntu 8.04.

Edit: Same goes for the Rc1 for Win32

can you provide me with screenshots of all your luxsi panels,
then i will be able to say which options have changed and give better defaults, and it will be useable for our v0.6 release, with only 1-2 hours of work on your side.

Any plans for an OS X PPC build? I'd like to harness the power of my school's computers (read: slack off during class).

If the "Refine Area" won't be included in 0.6 I would remove the icon.

@ Aden: sure a PPC-build will be done too, just had to finish the OSX 64bit, that needed some workaround for wxwidgets.

Hello everyoe, I have been testing lux and found that mesh with exit portal applied to it renders black, no problem with the objects behind it.
