other mappings?

Postby TaoTeCheese » Thu Nov 08, 2007 10:54 pm

I'm itching to give the famous sponza scene a spin in lux. I've converted all the textures to exr, and now all I need is planar (flat) mapping as opposed to UV. Anyone know when the exporter will support other mappings, or how to hack the mat.lxs file to do this?

From early tests (even with horrible textures) the GI is AWESOME.

add this to your texture line: (in material file)

"string mapping" ["planar"]

(btw: there's also 'spherical' and 'cylindrical' (these have no additional options))

then control with these additional options (values given are defaults):

"float udelta" [0.f]
"float vdelta" [0.f]

offset to be applied to the texture

"vector v1" [1.f, 0.f, 0.f]
"vector v2" [0.f, 1.f, 0.f]

vectors to define planar mapping.

PS: we can add this to the exporters ;-) (exporter devs? ;-)
