Nice modelling of the chair! The table however, probably wouldn't be stable even if the foot was made of solid lead. :)

Lol :)

I am going to use the chair in something else so consider this a "study" with some flaws I admit, but I do love this chair, 50 years old last year :)

The chair looks better now. :)

The ground is not that great, too flat I think.

Nice work.
Cheers!

I can't quite make out the title on the book... Knowing you, it's going to be important too :)

lol, thanks for noticing the book, it is one of the most important books I have read in fact, the Dalai Lama excommunicated him in part for writing it. Though I don't think that means much because I have seen photos of them hanging out together after that.

It is a very technical book about something that is considered "secret" which the Tibetans don't have a word for, closest being "Oral tradition." So it never should have been written down at all, but to me its like a clean glass of fresh water.

the title is: Clear Light of Bliss.
http://www.tharpa.com/us/book-Clear.Lig ... s-602.html

For one thing you can learn Tummo from these meditations which saves on the heating bill:
"The Tibetan term `tummo' means `Fierce One' and is generally used to refer to Heroines, who are slightly wrathful in appearance and who bestow spontaneous great bliss on their consorts, the Heroes. The red drop at the navel in the nature of fire is also called tummo because its function is similar to that of the fierce Heroines. In this text, however, it will be referred to simply as `inner fire'."

This is the root cluster for putting the snake ( red drop ) In the Egg Chair ( triple burner ) rather then around it which would be traditional in western Alchemy...

For example when you see a elite talking about "fire in the belly" its often a code for western initiation in this practice which can give one a lot of usable energy and really fuel a successful working life. In the west this tradition comes to us via the Greeks who got it from Egypt, Fire of ISIS. :)

Also the title is a pun on Luxrender :)

Carbonflux, me missing stronger bumpmaptexture for chair (like leather you was trying or maybe a fabric would go fine with this color)
in your web's 'current render' section I saw nice tulip standing lamp...
I like wall but what's that black stripe at the bottom?
indeed table would be unstable...
anyway another simple but nice image :)

I could not get the lamp to work and gave up on it because all the materials I tried would either not clear fast enough or would show faces on the mesh, I hope to return to it later tho.

I could not get the leather to work as well because all the UV textures I have would not scale small enough, after looking at these chairs on the net I decided to copy the texture of a chair I do have that is from the same era, so its kind of like very smooth faux leather.

Thanks for looking :)
