Directory changes in CVS

Postby jromang » Sat Oct 27, 2007 1:39 pm

I've made several changes in the CVS :
-Moved all platfrom-specific pre compiled libraries/headers in the 'platform' subdir
-Changed MacOS to macos (lowercase / see coding guidelines ;) )
-Removed platform-specific copies of boost (we had 3 different copies)...now win32 and osx versions should use the one present in /platform/boost

Minor changes are needed for windows and mac version to compile again ;)

On that note - why are there tons of .a files in CVS? :) Takes a long time to check out, and should binary libs be in CVS in the first place?

NO!
I was planning to clean it up, but didn't have time yet... :)
It took me over an hour to do a checkout, it's outrageous.

Yes libraries should not be there...but it's the best solution we have to to allow easy compilation/checkout on windows and mac os for now !
I'll clean up unused .a files for mac os right now.... (it took me hours to do the changes too ;) )

Hey,

i've updated the vs2005 project for the new dir struct,
and added libpng static libs for debug & release targets.

png textures work fine too ;-)

don't do this too much please as it took me 3 hours to reconfigure everything...
lots of manual editing of VS2005 project files etc...

i was thinking maybe we can put the static libs for all the platforms in a separate module ?
it takes 3 hours here to checkout the tree in NZ on wireless internet,
and 10-15 minutes for an update.

greetz,
