About the light strategies, is there a reason why you need to select a particular light strategy in order for rendering hints to work? Why not get rid of the importance strat and make them work with all the light strategies?

Hi,

There's a small speed penalty to using the importance scheme, however we could change the defaults to use importance instead of uniform. Users in the know will be able to fall back to the uniform scheme and others won't wonder why changing the light hints doesn't have any impact.
