White LED

Postby J the Ninja » Sat May 26, 2012 1:55 pm

I had gotten a bit frustrated trying mimic with appearance of white LEDs by smushing gaussian textures and RGB values together, so with some help from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:White_LED.png and LordCrc, I put together a little tabulated data file for it. Copy and paste this into a text file and load it up in the tabulated data texture, and set that texture as your emission color. Enjoy. :)

Code: Select all
Emission spectra of a typical "white" (GaN + Ce:YAG) LED. Reconstructed from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:White_LED.png
Intensity is relative, it is effectively a direct lamp color value.
