I updated the code in my branch on mercurial. It break material but I should have that back soon. I now support .lxo files and the scripted ply exporter is more functional.

tested.

the plugin is unable to export a plane with light material. it always abort export if the light plane are on a hidden layer.

i suppose that the omni are supported... but they are written as omni instad of point.

material is exported.

Now im confused... Should I render hidden object or not...?

Solved the omni thing. Objects with light material work just fine here. Anyway I'll reconsider that concept. In blender 2.5 you just have to enable the Emission value of any material to make it work.

skip exporting hidden objects is normal (mentalray \ scanline ) does this too.

I have not had much time to test the past days due to 3 projects at the same time at work,
but I hope to find time soon. Also get back to scripting.

i have to start the scene manually cause luxreder log sho an error that it's unable to read the lxs file.

Fixed the light export error. Do you have space in your export path?

Now almost everything the previous script had is supported i believe. Add a luxCamera and materials. I'm just missing the sky light and sun.

if you mean space on hard disk, yes 300 of Gb

if you mean space in the name of the file... yes "luxball5 & luxmax1_000000.lxs"

I just updated the script to support space in filenames. Also try the Luxconsole option in External Engine configuration. Change Gui to Console in the drop down menu.

Sun and Sky are back too
