I updated the code in my branch on mercurial. It break material but I should have that back soon. I now support .lxo files and the scripted ply exporter is more functional.
Now im confused... Should I render hidden object or not...?
Solved the omni thing. Objects with light material work just fine here. Anyway I'll reconsider that concept. In blender 2.5 you just have to enable the Emission value of any material to make it work.
at max start i was able to export omni and direct lights but after the first export i'm not able to export the direct lights. hidden or un hidden. i got alsways the same error in fn_export_maxlights.ms at line 75:
tm = $.transform
edired: i have to start the scene manually cause luxreder log sho an error that it's unable to read the lxs file.
I just updated the script to support space in filenames. Also try the Luxconsole option in External Engine configuration. Change Gui to Console in the drop down menu.
