I can confirm the problem even without hybrid, something still leaks. Not at the same rate as before, but there is clearly some problem. My results with 1.5M polys testscene (a simple cube with loop subdivision) under Linux are:

Code: Select all
            1 scene     15 scenes queue
KD-Tree     0.66G       1.81G
QBVH        0.67G       1.66G
Hybrid      1.71G       5.59G*

* For some reason it hangs after 8 scenes are finished and when moving to the 9th -- the renderer still runs, the timer ticks, but nothing gets rendered, however the GPU stays under load. I'm not sure whether it's a Lux problem or something with my hardware, but in the case somebody wants to try it out, i'm attaching my test scenes below.

I can clearly reproduce the leaking with your scene on Windows 7 and my Scene on Win 8. Lux just runs out of memory.
Note: I use sqbvh in my scene.

For those of us who do not have the tools to compile the Source Code, will 1.0RC1 be released as a Weekly?

EDIT: Never-mind. I didn't realize that the RC was on the main site for download. I have the Weeklies Bookmarked and generally go there first.
