LuxRender 1.7-dev Linux build of 18.12.2017

- addon now ootb Blender release 2.79(a) compatible ( not with master/2.8 !!! )
- fixed glossy problem ( viewtopic.php?f=8&p=127474&sid=6042a3555a60d970a10463ebe75c5041#p127473 )
- one more fix, make sure to have 67068ebf7752cda5ce52718207712e1d7b5e241342630eb2fced81fa708239b4

Done with default gcc 4.8.4 on 14.x ubuntulike with glibc 2.19.
Sidenote:
The classic part almost matches the former 1.6 release, except the luxcorerenderer, which is improved.
So from a stability point of view LuxGui, luxconsole are a save replacement for 1.6.

The luxcore part can be judged as WIP and users with a focus on luxcore should lookout for the luxcore2 reboot now.

Stupid question from my side: Is there a way to get Luxrender / Luxblend to work with latest 2.79 master?

Thanks :)

Do you mean Blender v2.79a ? The version used for viewtopic.php?f=12&t=13485 currently does.

Blender changed its Python version in latest master, so you would need to compile Lux with the Python version of Blender, at least on Windows.
On Linux it works out of the box even with non-matching Python version.

As described in the announce post, 2.79(a) will work.
Master and 2.8 would need changes to the extensions framework.
Not prio 1 atm.
Its not due the python version.

If someone wants to take a look, error is:
Code: Select all
