The existing exporter should work without problem.

You will have to do a Manual install, because the 2009 specific file paths are unknown to me.

If you have 2009 and try the manual installation, then please post here where things should be installed, then the installer can be updated to support 2009.

OK, this might be where we need your help ;)

I assume you're trying to do a manual install ? (as fara s I can rememeber, the installer doesn't yet have a '2009' option, and in any case the paths are probably wrong if it does).

Previous version of Maya create a folder in your 'users'/'home' folder named something like

linux: /home/username/maya/<VERSION>/
or
Windows: c:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\maya\<VERSION>\

Can I ask you to have a look in these locations and let me know what you find?

Alternatively, if you have previously installed custom Maya scripts on your system, where did you put them ?

OK, so here's a little code to investigate what we've got.

Can you open the script editor, and in python mode, run the following:
Code: Select all
import sys
syspaths = sys.path
for path in syspaths: print path

press CTRL-ENTER after writing the code to run it.

Then paste the output here. It should show us where Maya is looking for script files.

Well good news, now it's where it should be :P
It''s the same places as 2008 then, just the 2009 name on the folder.
Have no idea why i didnt find it before, i did look trough many folders called maya with the search function.
I gues this could be usefull information anyhow :)

OK cool. let me know if you have any success or failure running it, to my knowledge it's not been tested on 2009 yet.
