Hey,

If you can find us a user with a licensed copy of rhino and experience to develop for it, yes :)

Hi everybody.

I have a Rhinoceroces Lab Kit (educational 30-seats lab license). But i don't have ANY idea of programming. Could my license help in any way?

Hi all...
i have a Rhino Licence too, i don't know how to do an exporter, but if i can help...
Can't it be done with a demo version?

Rhinoceros with Luxrender will be very convenient.
Sometimes it's very boring to export from rhino to blender.

Judging from the quote on rhino3d.com, it could probably be done. But even then, we're still waiting for someone with scripting experience in Rhino to stand up.

rhino3d.com wrote:This fully functional (except the clipboard) version will save 25 times. After that it is still functional except it will not save and plug-ins will no longer run.

I am big fan of rhino, but there are several things to consider. Rhino isn't really the best at texturing. Camera handling is also very poor in rhino. And probably there is at least 10 more reason to fall for something else.
I mean I don't want to stop the development for it, but it wouldn't be a piece of cake.
On the bright side that it is supporting visual basic script, so it quite common these days to know that language.
This means probably most of you would be able to do something for it easily.

Well I wasnt really helpful I guess :D

hi,
after start this request thread viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3774
I also post on rhinocheros and rhino scripts forum a requests for rhino scripter... but no one answer to it!!
I still hope that some one will join the luxrender project soon!!!

Do you know any developers in the Rhino community who would be able to work on a Rhino exporter? Perhaps you can do some research there and bring in extra help ?

Lux itself actually supports NURBS objects, it would be useful if a developer who has skills in using/exporting NURBS could come and investigate the possibility of a NURBS based exporter for Rhino/Lux.
(Last time I tried to use NURBS in Lux, with LuxMaya I ran into problems. To this day I still don't know if that was to do with my lack of NURBS understanding or because Lux is is some way deficient in handling them).

the reported info about supporting nurbs and python support for Rhino are amazing news!!!
so if someone know a rhino scripters or is a member of a rhino community than please post a request!!
