Looking into the possibility to "port" LuXSI to Daz3D Carrara, to get LuxRender support.
Since LuXSI is written in C++, it looks like the best option of all exporters, because Carrara SDK supports C++, but not Python or other high level scripting that the other plugins use.
Chances of success without help from other Carrara developers is closer to none, than to slim, since the 200kb source code is about 200x bigger than previous "Hello World" apps I wrote in C++ a long time ago.
Anyhow, thinking about starting with the LuXSI 1.1 release and trying to "deactivate" as much as possible, before trying to switch over to Carrara for a first version with mesh, camera, single light support. Or maybe I should start with LuXSI 0.1 to keep things simple...
Got a name for the project: Luxsicar.
