Why use your username?

Postby slime » Wed Feb 29, 2012 8:42 pm

In this thread I'd like everyone to explain what made people choose their username on the forums, because I wonder about some peoples (A-man, SatTva -.-)

The reason I'm called slime is because I got the nickname in college when I used to play a game called slime football instead of doing my work.

Now you go

My name starts with an A, and I made an account for some website when I was like 12 with the name A-man, and it kinda stuck :p I also go by stokastic or double-A (like the battery).

This could be a very interesting thread, I would like to know where LordCrc's name came from :p

I received my name from a spirit guide during a mystical experience in the 1980s, seriously :)

Mine was almost a birthday present... My name is Alan, my nickname when I was young was Alpal, my uncle wanted to give me a website but 'thealpal' was taken so we went with 'zeealpal' instead. Has stuck ever since and now is my unique name :)

I made mine up by randomly combining vowels and consonants together until I end up with something I like. So there is no particular meaning behind my username.

Mine was formed from a nickname at primary school - for some reason I was called Pilchard. I suppose it's a bit like my real name, but w/ever. Anyway, the numbers after it come from some website that I tried to sign up for a few years back and the name Pilchard was already taken, so I put some numbers after it. Boring, huh?

Mine got to do with being a Pixies fan, as I'm only one I singled it out to pixie.

Well I was about 10 when I saw on a gaming TV channel a demo/clip of Devil may cry and I found Nero totally cool. I then tried this name in Warrock but of course it was already taken so I added an "e" to make it unique and "33" to be sure it was unique. And now I use it everywhere. I added [TheOne] because I already subscribed to this site but there was some kind of problem with my password, so I made another account.

PS: My previous name was "lechanceux" which translates into "theluckyone" or so. Seriously. It comes from Halo 1.
