Luxrender help?

Postby swaschan » Sat Aug 04, 2012 12:07 am

First of all, i am completely new to external renders. I just downloaded Luxrender 1.0 day before tomorrow and just read a tutorial (which did not really make sense, as it was for 2.5x, and i have 2.63). Now, when Ive installed it in Blender, I tried to export an .lxs scene, and render it. However, it turned out to be like this, after some hours ::

Also, it has no texture, and is a bit grainy.
When it was supposed to turn out like this (Blender render) :

I also tried to convert the Blender materials, but they didnt do nothing. Just took away the red colour of the dice spots, and made it look even worse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially a link to a 2.6x tutorial.

Cheers,
swaschan.
ftw, this is my first post

Texture in luxrender aren't converted automatically, but you have to set them in their slots

On the materials panel, click the T button on the relevant channel and select your texture.
