A Small After-Holidays Treat for You

Postby b-tag » Mon Jan 09, 2012 9:18 am

Happy New Year, everyone!

Hope you had great holidays, full of parties and lots of fun. But since the days start to get into their usual rhythm, here is a way you could sweeten your diet. By say... preparing yourselves some jelly candies! Yes, it's easy and fun!

Making Jelly Candies is Easy and Fun

Okay, this short presentation is intended to serve more as a review of few imaging techniques rather than to approach any full-blown broadcast-grade content. Below I have outlined some of the key points where LuxRender has been used and you might find interesting:

  • During the opening sequence, the jelly candies are illuminated by using a variable number of lights (including HDRI)
  • The picture-taking sequence simulates the shutter of Nikon D80
  • The sequence simulating the viewfinder of Nikon D80 uses camera shake, shifting focus and DOF

Enjoy!
