Sala scene for sharing!

Postby ZanQdo » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:17 am

So this is my old Sala scene rendered in Lux 0.8 (and composited back in Blender)
I'm making the Blender 2.5 scene file available for anyone that wants to use it to test features!

have fun :)

Thanks for sharing this one ZanQdo, this is a really good scene, its been thru a lot of versions of lux, great scene for testing imo.

I think the render looks quite good :)

How did you manage it that light which comes through the ceiling window (green spots on the floor and pillow) is being rendered and the bump map still is visible? I only can have one of these. With archglass the light is visible but not the bumps and with normal glass the light didn't appear but the bumps are visible.
EDIT: Wait, did you use an alpha map?

I just switched from glass to archglass on your original scene (and changed the position of sun) :?: Because of the archglass materials, the bump map is mostly not visible in the shadow but should always directly visible.

@ZanQdo: 3 GPUs and 1 CPU involved in the rendering.

Great render, love the soft feel it has. :)

I haven't downloaded the scene yet, are you using volumes on the columns?
