The middle one reminded me of this. I'm not sure that remembering a webcomic before the original album is a good thing, but there you go...

Great work! I really like the second one with the "PrismLight". What does the scene setup look like if you don't mind me asking? How do you get the incoming white light to be in such a thin or focused volume/area?

The scene setup is incredibly simple: There is a big cube as the bounding box which has the volume for the interior. I used a spot light at angle 1*.

The prism is simple a glass material with cauchyB at max (I found was easier to produce effect than with glass2, I will try redo it with glass2 and the laser ies some time).

There is also a sphere with the same material as the prism

Thanks for the description of the scene, it really looks great! If you redo it with glass2 and you get it to work, don't forget to post it here.
