Hi :)
If you were around in irc the latest days you probably saw many wip images in which i modelled and textured my pentax mx camera.
Finally today i ported it to Luxrender and gave it a quick render.
I decided to post it here so as to get some feedback, about the scene you imagine it to be in. I have some ideas myself but id like to hear something else too, before i start working on the scene/environment :)

Exported to exr, tonemapped with mantiuk using luminance hdr, minor post in photoshop.

P.S. Every bump effect except from the ground one uses normal maps. Many thanks to Lordcrc for implementing them :D

To me it looks like it is sitting on a rock, far above some glorious landscape, perhaps mountains. In my opinion, I think the image would be better without the white vignetting. Adding an HDR map and lowering your camera(the one taking the picture, not on the rock) so you got a better view of the reflection in the lens would be a cool scene I think! I really like the modelling and texturing, great work!

Really good job! I like the model very much.
Putting it on an old desk would be a great idea. Why don't you render some more camera lens to add to the scene?
