With your help, i hope you can render the scene for me ;)

- make sure you use one of the latest LuxRender CVS.
- unpack the .zip file
- assign textures for Picture on the wall, Floor tiles, tree leaves ( also the bump map ), grass ( also the bump map ) and cupboard.
- click 'Render' button (it think you already know this step ;) )
- click WRITE/USE FILM on Output section if you want to render this scene and resume next time.

Reward
there's no reward actually. but, i will credit you on my DeviantArt and BlenderArtist post :)

I have the spare CPU time to do it, however I'm no Blender guru, so if you could export the files yourself (lxs lxm etc) I can render it.

I can render this for you.
I took a look at your blender file and it all seems to be there.
I have started the render. It may take a while to get done to get to a clean looking amount of samples.

to Lord Crc :
i think i can't export to .lxs file because the file contain textures. i dont like that, if i export the file, there's no texture ... :|

To Platypus_Green :
thank you very much for your help :D just hope for good render result ^^ :D

sdil: the textures are just referenced externally. If you put a relative path to the texture and zip up the entire directory (lux files, textures) then the textures will be used.

Just a render progress.
Looks like this will need to render for quite some time to clean up the image. I'll run it more tonight.

For some reason this is the only file i've tried rendering that does not want to work over a network.
I've tried other files with textures as a test, they work fine over the network.
I've also tested making new scenes in blender 2.48a with 'write/use FLm' turned on. They worked too.

You've set up the render to use:
Sampler: Metropolis
LM.Prob: 0.4000
max.rejects: 128
initsamples: 100,000
stratawidth: 256

Integrator: path
maxdepth:10
RR: efficiency

Volume int: single
stepsize:1.00

Filter: Mitchell

So I can't figure out what is causing this file not to render over the network.
What happens is that the luxConsole running in -s mode on the networked machines closes the moment I connect them in the luxRender main window on the main computer. I've never seen that happen before, but I'm very new to luxRender myself. The file will render, but not over the network, that's all. Only using one system rather than the three I have available.

Anyay, hope the render is looking as you wanted it to.

Hi,

You should use bidirectional integrator for such a scene.

I've started a test render of the scene with bidirectional instead of path as the integrator. It works a lot better. Maybe it calcuates less S/sec, but it produces much nicer lighting from the sun. - So i'll continue form this new render and scrap the old one.

I'll see later on tonight when another pc is free on the home network whethet it will now work with network rendering.

:D thank you very much for your help Platypus_Green .. i'm really appreciate your help ^^

but, the picture contain a lot of noise ... what i need to do during post-processing time to reduce the noise ?
i'm using The Gimp.

and, what is difference between bidirectional and path tracing ? :?:

it's caused by just few samples per pixel... if this parameter going higher there is less noise in rendered image (with more render time you got more S/px)
there is a great denoising plugin for gimp... see here http://cimg.sourceforge.net/greycstoration/

in general, path is used for exteriors where you can easily reach lights and bidir is mostly used for interior where reach for lights in scene are difficult (light is occluded by small window for example...)
