Is there a way to have a physically sky textured with Clouds!
the 2 image below, show the work of a guy that edited the physical sky textures of vray, by mixing it trough gradient ramp, noise etc, so to get finally a natural clouds effect! like in the attached image...
vr 2-2.jpg

the parameter of the clouds in max can be also animated! you can change the dimension the intensity, the color, the type! this make the idea just more interesting! a full daylight animation that go from a sunny day to a windy and stormy one :)

but hey it's just an idea... I also know that you all are very busy!

LightWave 3D's Sky Tracer 2 has been able to do this for years (longer than I've been using it, which is around 10 years now) through a simple interface. Changes the atmosphere, clouds, sun, sky, haze, and can be animated over time without having to do a difficult setup using gradients, noise maps etc, and it gives the option to use volumetrics or sprite, depending on the type of realism you're looking for. It's just built in and simple.

sss OK
please could you spend 2 words for Media precedence & Multiple UVs per mesh!
I will link the pool lines with your post...!
thank you!

hey, ;)
didn't know about this limitation!
and I was wrong in understanding "Multiple UVs per mesh"!
in max... I suppose like in other 3d package, a mesh can be uv mapped with more than one uv map modifier. each has its own channel!
I had think that LuxRender is able to load only the uv-map data from the first channel... an that all other one are skipped while parsing!
good to know!

Hi, my first post at this forum.

But yeah, I voted for SSS and full motion blur would have been my second choice. Maybe it could be added to the poll even though not that many people seem to use Lux for animation - at least not yet.

@juusop & @namekuseijin
your request will added in the next days... hope that some one else will post some request in the mean time!

nice feature that you have in LightWave! it would be nice to have one similar for LuxRender!
but... I suppose (hope to don't be wrong), that a similar feature is not possible for Luxrender... or if it's possible it will be accessible only for blender user! I'm referring to volumetrics sprite... each 3d app have it's own system... and this is not sure that it'll be correctly exported and parsed by Luxrender!
I ask for the textured clouds sky... since a request it's just pending for the environment mapping and since a texture is just a texture and not a complicated system! any 3d app use texture.... and any 3d app must have textures that can be exported and parsed by Luxrender!
if the textured physical clouds sky will added.... some one could play around with it... and share presets for it ;)
as always that's just my though... as always any comment are welcome!

PS: to all
please remember to give your vote just one time per each listed request!

the just recorded votes are recorded and uploaded as images

PS2: please spend few words about the feature request... since I link the poll line to the post!

Blackbody support to a temperature of 0 degrees for gradients. Also being able to mix light and null materials if possible?
