Luxrender used on feature film production

Postby Radiance » Mon Jun 22, 2009 10:41 am

Hi all,

See here: http://www.digitalgraphics.be/?page_id= ... ar&lang=en

Luxrender was used to render a few special effects in a french language movie 'Oscar et la dame Rose' by the belgian special effects studio 'digital graphics SA'.
The images were composited into the live movie with apple shake compositing software.

A few new features were added to luxrender thanks to this a few months ago. (compositing options to distributedpath integrator and better image outputs)

There's some images and even a luxblend screenshot on the site :)

This is some information i got from digital graphics:

Le réalisateur et la production sont ravis du travail que nous avons réalisé. (Environ 200 plans truqués)
La sortie du film est prévue pour le 9 décembre 09 en Belgique, France et Canada (date?).

In english:

The producer of the film is happy with the results. (including all other special effects (200))
The Film should be in the cinema on 9 decembre 2009 in Belgium, France and Canada (date?).

Greetz,

Wow, thanks for the quick response
That's great indeed! Is that ghost using volumetric rendering?
