This is kinda uninformative bugreport you know. ;) What gives you this error? In what situation? (E.g. simply running a binary -- in the console output; starting LuxBlend -- in Blender output; etc.)

I run by hand from the install folder the LuxRender.exe or LuxConsole.exe or LuxMerger.exe
And they wont even start up, they just crash. It started after 1.4 RC3, that was the latest build to work.

My spec
Vista 64 home premium
Intel Core 2 Duo e4500

Hey there bnzs,

I absolutely agree. I got some comments for the Lux announcement video. I feel that the features we have are really awesome, but the barrier of entry is still too high. Most people don't know how to add LuxRender to Blender and 3Ds Max. It would be really great to have a 3-minute tutorial video that starts with downloading the Lux client, adding it to Blender, adding a simple material to a geometry and rendering it inside Blender with the viewport mode. I think it would make a great deal of difference.

Ps: if we already have something like that (and recent), please let me know and we can somehow start promoting it!

We can't adjust intensity of sun/sky light in luxcore ??

It should work. Use the gain slider.
Note that if you are using an automatic tonemapping method (camera settings) it might cancel out your changes (re-adapt to the new brightness).
In that case change it to a manual method (like Linear) and use the scale parameter to adjust the image brightness: http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/LuxBlend2 ... e_Settings

The video was seen by close to 3000 people. It seems to have sparked quite a bit of interest. What do you guys think about exposing the it somewhere on the Lux website?
