Hi,

i have done a lot of testing but finally... i think that this issue is caused by having at least one istanced copy of an object with an emissive material (i used a matte with luxrender light emission checked in luxblend).

EDIT:

I prepared a test scene for you to test :)

Why does it happen sometimes when you render then in bottom left corner of LuxRender GUI the Activity tab doesn't refresh, and the render image doesn't refresh when you hit Apply. And the render slave info tab in LuxRender GUI displays same progrss of a S/p day after day. And when you close render and resume from flm, then the total S/p is like it was week agoo

Rendering animations produces a series of 'placeholder' image files, one for each frame of the animation, however I've noticed they aren't replaced with the actual images. Placeholders are given names ####.png, whereas actual saved renders are saved as <scene name>.scene.####.png. After animations complete you are left with a bunch of empty frames, that serve no purpose. Since they are just solid black, compression usually brings then down to no more than a few kilobytes, but they really shouldn't be there at all (or should actually be overwritten). Is there a reason for this?

Note: I haven't tried with RC2 yet.

Those are generated by Blender. Dunno whether it's possible to disable them.
