| Summary | 0001218: Change glossy material to act internally as matte+glossycoating | ||||||||
| Description | When using the matte material as a base for a glossycoating, the result is the same as using the glossy material, with the added bonus of handling better with SPPM and the option for a non-lambertian base reflector. It would simplify things a bit a to have glossy alias to a material that used a glossycoating material with a matte base. When this is added, a "sigma" parameter should also be added to glossy to make use of the option for an oren-nayar base reflector. | ||||||||

I propose we introduce a bool parameter to enable the old single-glossy material, it would be nice to have in case of debugging and possibly workarounds for future bugs. |
