| Summary | 0001217: SPPM Direct light sampling crashes when used with sampler other than random | ||||||||
| Description | If SPPM's direct light sampling option is enabled, and a sampler other than random is selected (metropolis/ERPT/Lowdiscrepancy), LuxRender will crash when the eye pass starts. Worse, since direct light sampling is enabled by default and metropolis is the default sampler, you can make a scene that specifies no render settings other than: renderer: "sppm" surfaceintegrator "sppm" ...and it will crash Lux. | ||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Set renderer and surface integrator to SPPM, and make sure the SPPM integrator has direct light sampling enabled. Do not declare "random" as your sampler. Lux will crash when the first eye pass begins. | ||||||||

Did you forget to push this? It's not in the changelog and the hash 7c43a54f5ca1 doesn't correspond to any change we have on our server. |

I did not forget to push, but as usual I'm waiting a few hours between a commit and a push and during those few hours the lab just close for one week. Unfortunately they also suspend the network so I'm unable to remotely connect to my computer and make the push. Will come tommorow. |
