Yes only *.exr is supported(for now anyways ;) ) but, in blender you can change most images into a exr...
just open the uv/image editor, open an image of anouther format *such as a *.jpg*), then save it, but change the file type to openexr

Hey Everybody!, I know this is technically a double post, But I thinks its probably okay... ;)

And now for something that kinda resembles a update...

Here are a couple of low-quality tests strung together, to try to figure out what kind of color the emitter, should emit...

The strength is half of what it was before, and once I get the color sorted out,
I'll work on the strength, and mixing it with another light...,

--- --- ---

I want to hear what you think about the color!,

If you like one of these, please say which number,
If you think something else would be better, please say so, lighter or darker, more yellow..etc.!

I also WANT to hear, general thoughts about the project, plus your Crits, and Comments!

Cheers,
~Marslyr

hey,

alpha9 exporter will allow you to define power and colours / blackbody spectra for mesh lights.
RC3 will also allow rendering complex meshlights and blackbody emission spectra.

it will make things much easier ;-)
hopefully this weekend ;)

Hey, Thanks for the responses!

@animelix
Thanks for your input, although I am not sure what you meant by this
but the lamp should be transparent

In the final version the emiter will be in the lamp...? :?

@Radiance

Awesome I can't wait, I took some time off the project, today so this is perfect timing, I'll work on the vase and plant, till the weekend!

Hey, Boys & Girls...!

Its Minor Update time! --- Again I know its technically a double post, But I think its okay...

I created a basic vase with a very basic porcelain(read shiny white ) material...

If you have any ideas for the vase material I'd love to hear them! :)

Note:I just ignored the dragon in this image.... (aka It came out horrid) so I blurred it out

Current plan-like-thing...
Work on vase until next version of Luxblend and Luxrender, then work on emitter/lights again,

Then Add leafy greenery in the vase (Will be interesting )

Then work on other things such as realism...

Now onto the image!

Note2:This was rendered without any emitters, just a sun, if you look close, you can even see the emitter, 'cause I was to busy(read lazy) to remove it...

I plan to render it tonight or tomorrow, with some of the glass/firefly tips I've seen recently...

I want to hear what you guys think, And I want you to CRIT the heck out of my scene...

Cheers,
~Marslyr
