Forum Runner support?

Not sure if the forums software used here is compatible, but it would be great if you could add the Forum Runner plugin to facilitate mobile access of the forums.

Recent versions of phpBB should be compatible, with TapaTalk too. In the mean time, I use RSS.

What exactly do you mean by mobile access? I go on the forums all the time for my iPod win no problems. I can view images, read posts, and reply to posts with no problems. This reply was written from my iPod.

Forum Runner is an app that makes browsing forums MUCH faster on mobile devices. It's not that the web browser on mobiles can't render this forum. It's that the forum isn't designed/optimized for mobile access. Forum Runner provides that optimization. A plugin gets installed on the server, and allows the app to retrieve forum information in a much more compact data format, saving mobile data usage and making transfers faster as you don't get all the extra HTML baggage. And then it also presents the forum posts in a manner that makes better use of the smaller screens that mobile devices have, so you aren't doing so much scrolling around.

Another benefit is that it supports push notifications, so if you've subscribed to threads/subforums , you can be notified right away anytime someone posts to them via the Forum Runner app, rather than have your E-mail get spammed with 'new post' messages.

I might add forum runner if it's compatible with our version of the forum and not intrusive. I won't add tapatalk as it adds annoying and intrusive popups on mobile browsers.

Fwiw, I've been posting today from my android browser and the text input can be buggy at times, so a native mobile app probably is a good idea.

I don't believe Forum Runner spams mobile users trying to get them to purchase the app like TapaTalk does. TapaTalk never quite sat right with me, while I've been quite happy with Forum Runner.
