It's not so much of a material as it is a technique.

I forgot about that! I really could do with a bronze material for something I'm working on atm. How did you make it?

In a tie for first place is B.Y.O.B. and BinaryCortex. Hey wait, thats me! And very close by in third place is jester98741. However, with all of these great materials added to the database, I think we all win.

In a related note. Since I am the coordinator, I am going to feature B.Y.O.B.'s image as the thumbnail for the gallery (as I do with all of the winners) instead of my own.

That's true IMO. I think you can't really say a material is "best" because each of them is designed for its very own purpose.

I also hope that this competition has rose a bit more interest for the materials db, it's a really great thing to have and a lot of work went into it.
