Ok, now i can check the box and activate Luxrender. But what follows is that Luxrender crashes whenever opening the material panel. Thats what Console says:

malloc: *** error for object 0x7fff70251500: pointer being freed was not allocated
ndof: 3Dx driver not found
found bundled python: /Users/marue/Desktop/Blender_OSX_64bit_r43720/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/2.61/python
Job appears to have crashed: Abort trap
Saved crash report for blender[1485] version 2.61 (2.61, 2012-Jan-26, Blender Foundation) to /Users/and/so/on

Ahaaa.... you have yafaray addon installed ? Deactivate please. Aka, you must remove it from :
<userhome>/Application Support/Blender/2.6.1/scrips/addons

Explanation: yaf has an incompatibility with gcc-4.6.1 builds ( mine is for omp-support ) which i had no time to solve yet

Yafray is not installed, no scripts for yaf are installed. I also removed all other scripts from the addon folder, just to be sure. Problem persists.

K, but then you must post more of the log where it really crashes. Can´t see from the one liner.
Typically should be libstdc++ in conjunctions with a dedicated addon lib.
I´ll investigate in between if something broke in blender compile, as all works here nicely.

And you are sure you installed my newly published lux addon ?

K, after seeing you are on OSX 10.6.8, switched too and found same crash.
Hold on, investigating...
Guess i found the culprit, i´ll post a corrected build soon.

The problem is deeper than expected. It is not pylux itself but something in Blender.

As a workaround use this Blender build along with posted lux stuff atm if you are on 10.6 SnowLeo

http://www.jensverwiebe.de/Blender/Blen ... _43735.zip

This thing needs deeper investigation, i found atm only Blender compiled with gcc-4.2 on SL works

This one works. I had to change permissions on blender inside blender.app/Contents/MacOS. Thank you for posting that build.
