LordCrc and guibou have been hard at work on sppm! LordCrc fixed the darkening and an issue with loading the buffer twice, plus he added a new param, wavelength stratification passes, which should keep colors even during the initial passes. Guibou has added a direct light sampling mode, plus a whole bunch of other fixes to lower the memory usage. Jeanphi has updated more of the light sampling code, and fixed an issue with scattering rendering black.
LordCrc also added the ability to give meshes a name to help identify them. This name isn't unique per-mesh, it's just a string that appears on log messages dealing with that shape, but it can be quite useful for tracking down what is throwing that "inconsistent shading normals" error.
Btw, this is rev 3417/fa00b96a26ca, which was the latest in the default branch as of today. The changelog is a little confusing with some test branches running about at the moment.
As usual, you'll a find a ready-to-install zip of luxblend. Just feed this zip to Blender's addon installer, don't even bother unpacking it, Blender will do everything. Note this version requires Blender svn, not 2.61!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, LTO was disabled for these builds, so they should be back to working on older Macs.
