True, however the advantage of using pylux directly is higher likelihood of not ending up with some stale version of "rubylux" :)

But as you say, this is in the future :)

Hey, it's amazing! Thanks for all the job here.
The exporter is working very fine and easy! Better than most of payed sketchup renderers.
I would be glad to support these efforts.
I hope to start posting some nice images from my recent work here and in the sketchup galleries soon.
Thanks once more

Dear all,
as suggested by Jeanphi, I've just pushed my modifications to the repository, creating a new head.

The error raises because you have mixed code from the two versions of the exporter on your system. In fact, you are showing the 'other' GUI for the settings editor.
Try to find a "settings.html" file inside
Code: Select all
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google SketchUp 8\Plugins

changing Sketchup version according to what you installed and it should work (on Windows Vista or 7. Windows XP saves settings in a similar folder structure under Application Data).

Thanks mimmo,

Is there anything I can do ?
Im currently poking at the whole export/mesh collection loop and seeing if I can improve that since it runs out of memory fairly easily for me

Guys great work. I was wondering if there is a chance to add a quick export functionality where the geometry stays, and you are re exporting only the materials info.
Very useful with large scenes, where you are testing the materials.
Also the support for the GPU export setting would be nice.

Thats a really good feature export without geometry.
"the GPU export setting" is that the openCL setting for lux, hybrid mode ? I made patch for that but will update it for current version.

Just added to the repository to the current tip.
Need some testing, as usual.

Hi mimmo,

I delete the old plugin and folder and copy the new ones...I just have this message on start up...

"Error Loading File su2objmtl_lux.rb
SU2LUX is not a class"

FYI
