using HDRI

Postby MaRo » Wed May 04, 2011 4:47 pm

Hi,

I searched where I could set up an HDRI light in LuxBlend2.5 (the one that works with 0.8RC3) but could not find it. In Luxblend, it was in environment tab together with the camera settings, but now I've lost it :)

Could someone give me the directions? In case it is not yet implemented, I'd be happy to tweak the .lxs or .lxm by hand if necessary but a few hints would be nice :)

Thanks!

You'll need to use the "hemi" lamp for this, and assign it the env map as a texture. This is the equivalent to the "infinite" env light in old luxblender. If you rotate the hemi it will rotate the env map etc.

That was fast!

Thanks a bunch Lord Crc!

[edit]my bad, I found a bit later that it was explained briefly in the wiki: http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/LuxBlend25_Manual#Lights_and_Environment [/edit]
