Is it possible to add "Stop writing FLM" button somewhere and, maybe "Start writing FLM"?

How often is "very" often? Is it more often than what you originally selected when exporting? May be a bug.
May contain traces of nuts.

The write interval is configurable, you can set it to a longer interval.

Ok here for my imperial proposition :

While making a lot of test renders, searching for your ultimate tweak you might get completely lost between your renders.

So I propose two features in the luxGUI :

first would be to have a place where all the things you have configured are written down :

Stone.lbm2 is a glossy material. its imputs' value are : blablabla. Textures inside are : blablabla............
Texturestone is a luxrender image map texture on float channel blablabla.............

Second idea, would be to be able to write some comments that would be saved and that could be stamped on the low dinamic range image you save...
So for example combining those two awesome features, you could paste your superb Stone materials tweaks directly in the stamp rather than having to save a new lbm2 with a specific name that reflects the little tweaks you made !

this request isn't bad, i think it could be very usefull... while rendering trying different settings!
it would be very usefull if this notes could be saved through the new "save/load panel settings" created by Carbonflux ;)
this need the addition of a simple text editor.

this is also a nice idea.... to have a overlay for descriptions, not for the lbm2 changes... but more to add a simple tittle for the image or the render settings, the lights group infos, etc.

i'll add the requests asap to the poll

Feature idea

ok, my thoughts aren't really formulated on this. But I am doing stereoscopic 3D.
I've been using this script which is really nice.

Uses the normal camera, which seems to work with lux.

but would be nice to integrate it with lux. maybe the ability to preview side by sides, or test anaglyphs.
I don't know where exactly I'm going with this. lol but would be nice to see lux have some 3D stereo features

attached is the script

Nicolas Bishop about Ptex and inclusion of various patches in Blender 2.62 :

Ptex is already in a separate branch. Agree that it's not the right time to integrate into trunk without having support in BI or Cycles. There's some argument to be made for export (i.e. Blender can provide Ptex painting and export.) However, I'd only really support inclusion under those circumstances if there's some external renderer with Ptex support that has good integration with Blender.

(taken from blenderartist: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthr ... ches/page2 )

It seems that neither Blender Internal nor Cycles are going to have Ptex support for rendering soon, i don't know may be an opportunity here to be the first to implement this wonderful possibility to Luxrender ?
