AS you can tell from my username, i'm quite a noob at luxrender, and 3d in general, just as a quick question, is it possible to import these materials into luxblend25, and if so, how? I really have not been able to find such an option in any of my searching. Thanks in advance!

I don't think the ability to import those materials into LuxBlend25 is there. I think those materials were mostly for the previous LuxBlend version. Maybe it's possible to import them into Blender...I don't know though. I just made my materials from scratch.

I might be possible to open up the files in notepad and enter the material settings manually. Let me know how that works out.

The main thing is I don't know how to interpret the settings, or how to set them up. I have no idea how to set up a custom material (most i can do is screw around with the preset templates)

Have you already successfully installed Blender and LuxBlend25? Are those working okay for you? Send me the download link of the material you are interested in and I'll show you how to translate it into the material settings for LuxBlend25.

viewtopic.php?f=36&t=5272 pretty much just the second "pale jade". It would also be nice to know how to create like a scaly, or skin-like material. Thanks so much for the help, and I hope I don't sound too retarded to you!

No double posts please, use the "Edit"-Button instead.

Here's a blue plastic material - I think you can give it any color you like.
Here's an example how to use it.

Thank you

I believe a converter is being developed, but I do not know if it is complete yet.
