Hi,

Due to Blender2.5 being a moving target, the easiest way to test the LuxBlend25 exporter is to grab an all in one build from graphicall.org.
And yes, it works with Linux and it is the official exporter for Blender 2.5, there won't be a merge with LuxBlend because the architectural differences between Blender 2.49 and Blender 2.5 require a rewrite of the plugin.

Sorry for the bump.

How do I render smoke?
The guide on the first page doesn't work.
When I try to render it it is just empty space, no smoke.
The lxv is emtpy.

Do you have the lzo/lzma libs installed with luxblend25?
Did you remember to give your smoke cache a name? (luxblend25 won't be able to find it if you don't)

Bummer ! Once again I can not render smoke.

From what I could gather, Blender is outputting a density values count higher than what lux* expects from the size and resolution of my smoke domain.

For instance, for a 16 x 16 x 8 volume (resolution=60, no hires), luxblend finds 216000 values in the pointcache file where only half is expected (60*60*30=108000)

Interestingly, when the domain is cubical, the problem get occulted and everyone is happy again. I have no time to make further investigations at the moment. Let me know if I can help in any way.

This is using Blender r35754 (a 64bit, OpenMP-enabled build) on Win7 64 bit but I have the same result with a later BF build.

The problem should be resolved in the latest revision of the exporter.
