Error when saving file

Postby gir1dhar » Wed Mar 16, 2011 7:56 am

Hi!
I just downloaded and installed luxmax-372b7a98f8d6.zip. After loading an scene and playing with materials and lights, Max won't save the scene. I get the following error:
Code: Select all
Unknown class: SuperID =0x200, ClassID =(0x0, 0x0)

Using 3dsMax 2011 x64 sp1 + sap, Krakatoa 1.6.1, Realflow Max plugin 5.0.1, VRay 2.00.2.
I've been replacing vray's materials in the scene, I don't know if it's relevant.
BTW, luxmax won't export RealFlow's RFMeshLoader's mesh to luxrender.

Best Regards

hi,
i'm also vray user... i got this error too when using with lux a setted vray scene.

you have to restart max, merge the vray scene in a new clean max scene... take care to set scanline render as default before to merge.
each time you replace alight and or a material save the scene.

hope this help

Thanks!
I'll give it a try.

One more thing, luxmax readme.txt says that I should place a plugin called LuxMax2010_64.dlr into my plugins folder. LuxMax2010_64.dlr isn't included in the .zip I put Luxmax_Binary_X64.dlx into plugins/
Is that ok? Should I rename the file? Or the readme needs an update?

no that's ok.... that was the old version.

you have to use only the files in the gplourde folder... and put them all in the related directories.
you can also put the 32 bit version of the dlx file in plugin folder..... this version is very smart... no conflict.

forget to mention that you just need to run 7zip.exe in the folder.... this will create a mzp of the luxmax...
you can easily install it as always.... but you need to restart max to get it properly working since the dlx isn't self running.
