Problem with infinite or infinitesample ?

Postby dougal2 » Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:45 pm

The scene setup is simple; a modified sphere with glossytranslucent, in an open top white matte box, camera and an infinite|infinitesample light using an HDRI map. Also using bidir/metropolis.

Remarkable difference ?

Dougal, How you set a light with "infinitesample" in luxblend25. The only sample method is uniform sampling over a sphere of directions (infinite plugin). I have included in my version for augmented reality two methods of sampling, uniform and importance, where the importance is coded as infinitesample by the exporter. You can see this in the patch that i have submited for you in my last message. Im a fan of your job.
